I don't hear any sound

Turn the volume up with the physical buttons while the app is open. If you're on Bluetooth (car, speaker, earbuds), check the audio is routing where you expect. Still silent? Close the app fully (swipe it away in the App Switcher) and reopen.

Pocket Strum plays even when the ring/silent switch is on — like any instrument app, muting the instrument would defeat the point.

The sound lags behind my finger

That's almost always Bluetooth: wireless headphones and speakers add 100–250 ms of their own delay. Use the phone speaker or wired headphones for a tight feel. Closing other audio apps helps on older phones.

How do I get more than 36 chords?

Hold keys in the same column together: Maj+7 = maj7, Min+7 = m7, Maj+Min = dim, all three = aug. The SUS4 and ADD9 keys recolor whatever you press next. Chords latch — release and keep strumming.

Where's the rhythm hiding?

The RHYTHM box: press ▶ to start, the arrows to switch patterns (they switch live while playing), the tempo fader to change speed. The bass follows whatever chord you're holding.

Can it show me how it's played?

Yes — tap DEMO next to the tempo fader and pick one of the five built-in songs. The instrument performs it in front of you: chord keys latch, strings flash. Touch the chord panel or the strumplate at any moment to take over.

Switching looks

Tap the half-circle key at the end of the Tempo row to flip between the Classic and Modern looks. Your choice is remembered.

Music keeps playing when I leave the app

That's on purpose — notes ring out and the rhythm keeps time in the background so you can jam over Apple Music or Spotify. To stop everything instantly, long-press the chord display.

Purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds are too: visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and choose the purchase.
